本日は、今帰仁の体験型古民家宿
**「Blue Zone Harmony Village OKINAWA 青の里」**にある神棚についてご紹介いたします。

2月11日は、日本では「建国記念の日」という祝日です。
日本の成り立ちや、長く続いてきた歴史に想いを馳せる日とされています。

日本には古くから、自然や祖先に感謝し、平和を祈る文化があります。
「和を以て貴しと為す」という言葉があるように、調和を大切にする精神は、沖縄の言葉でいう「ゆいまーる（助け合い）」にも通じています。

青の里では、こうした日本の祈りの文化を大切にし、神棚を設えています。

神棚には、以下の神々をお祀りしています。

• 天照大神（あまてらすおおみかみ）
  　太陽を象徴し、光と調和をもたらす神
• 豊受大神（とようけのおおかみ）
  　食や実りを守る神
• 大山祇神（おおやまづみのかみ）
  　山や自然を守る神（海ともご縁の深い神とされています）
• 猿田彦大神（さるたひこのおおかみ）
  　旅と道開きの神

これらは、日本人にとって自然と共に生きる象徴的な存在です。
特定の宗教を強く意識するものではなく、自然への感謝と平和への祈りを表す空間として設けています。

ご宿泊の際は、ぜひ静かに手を合わせてみてください。

「二礼・二拍手・一礼」

まずは、今ここにいられることへの感謝を。
そして、ご自身だけでなく、周囲の方々や世界の平和を願う。

それは、日本らしい“祈りのかたち”のひとつです。

The Kamidana (Sacred Shrine) at Traditional Folk House Inn “Aonosato”

Hello,
Today we would like to introduce the Kamidana (traditional Japanese household shrine) located at the experiential traditional folk house inn,
“Blue Zone Harmony Village OKINAWA – Aonosato.”

February 11 is a national holiday in Japan known as National Foundation Day, a day when people reflect on the long history and cultural heritage of the country.

Since ancient times, Japanese culture has valued expressing gratitude to nature, ancestors, and the harmony of society. The spirit of wa—meaning harmony and mutual respect—has long been an important part of Japanese life. In Okinawa, a similar idea is expressed through the word “Yuimaru,” meaning cooperation and helping one another.

At Aonosato, we honor this cultural tradition by maintaining a small kamidana as a symbol of gratitude, harmony, and peaceful living.

The shrine enshrines several deities that represent nature and life:

• Amaterasu Omikami – the sun deity symbolizing light and harmony
• Toyouke Omikami – the deity of food, agriculture, and daily sustenance
• Oyamazumi Omikami – the guardian deity of mountains and nature
• Sarutahiko Okami – the deity who guides travelers and opens new paths

For many Japanese people, these deities represent appreciation for nature rather than adherence to a specific religion. The kamidana at Aonosato is offered as a quiet cultural space where guests may pause, reflect, and express gratitude.

Two bows – Two claps – Silent prayer – One bow

Begin with gratitude for the present moment, and, if you like, offer a wish for the well-being of others and for peace in the world.
